Atlantic Seafood Partners was born out of the belief that great seafood should be handled with care and respect. For over three decades, the Salamone family has been crafting some of the finest lobster meat available, using techniques that larger commercial shops cannot do.

Ernie Salamone, founder of Atlantic Seafood Partners, has been immersed in the lobster industry since 1990. Early on, he saw inefficiencies in the industry and was frustrated by the cutting of corners in production. This motivated him to develop a better process—one that prioritizes quality, consistency, and sustainability.

What began as a humble start in Maine’s commercial lobster fishing quickly turned into a passion for creating a seafood business that focused on small-batch, premium lobster meat, setting them apart from large-scale operators.

Ernie Salamone, Owner and CEO

Ernie Salamone is a seafood industry veteran with nearly 4 decades of experience, in the Northeast lobster industry. Ernie developed 2 lobster processing plants from the ground up while running a
seafood brokering service. He saw the need for good quality lobster meat where corners weren’t cut to enhance the bottom line. His deep expertise in sustainable sourcing and quality standards has made him a trusted figure among chefs and seafood enthusiasts. Passionate about low-waste processing, Ernie is dedicated to delivering only the finest, sustainably-sourced lobster.

Laurel Salamone, Owner and CFO

Laurel Salamone has been a dedicated advocate for sustainable seafood for decades. She met Ernie while working at a fish market in th 1980s. Passionate about the outdoors and locally sourced foods, Laurel finds representing Atlantic Seafood’s premium products and her home state a true labor of love. Working alongside Ernie, her nephew, and with an array of fascinating clients, she is proud of the high-quality seafood Atlantic Seafood Partners brings to tables across the country.

Raffaele Salamone, President of Operations & Managing Partner

Raffaele Salamone is a seafood industry professional with a strong foundation in marine science, having earned a B.S. in Marine Biology from University of Maine and a Minor in Sustainable Aquaculture. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Raffaele brings both expertise and a fresh perspective to the organization. His dedication to sourcing responsibly and delivering high-quality seafood underscores his commitment to supporting chefs and seafood lovers.
